Coppa Italia (Italy) — league overview

The Coppa Italia is Italy's national knockout cup, seeded so that the strongest Serie A clubs enter in the later rounds while lower-division and mid-table sides contest the earlier stages. Ties are single-leg from the round of 32 onward with the higher-seeded club hosting, and the semi-finals are played over two legs before a final traditionally staged at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Juventus lead the historical count, followed by Roma and Inter. The seeding structure makes deep runs by smaller clubs less common than in the English or German cups, but the home-advantage rule regularly produces upsets when a Serie A side travels to a well-organised second-tier opponent. The winner qualifies for the Europa League and earns a place in the Italian super cup.

No Coppa Italia fixtures are scheduled in the next seven days. The 2026/2027 season runs from 8 August 2026 to 2 December 2026.
